Entry to The Workshops Rail Museum and return transport by bus is included. Bookings are essential.

Australian Chamber Orchestra - Beethoven 9, Ode to Joy An expanded Australian Chamber Orchestra teams up with one of the finest British choirs and an exceptional line-up of soloists in Beethoven's epic Symphony No.9, Ode to Joy. Richard Tognetti is the Artistic Director and Lead Violin, alongside the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge (Graham Ross Director), Lucy Crowe for Soprano, Fiona Campbell for Mezzo Soprano, Allan Clayton for Tenor, and Matthew Brook for Bass.
    2. Australian Chamber Orchestra - Danielle de Niese Internationally acclaimed soprano Danielle de Niese makes her Australian professional debut with the Australian Chamber Orchestra performing Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, Schubert's Death and the Maiden and more. Australian Chamber Orchestra - Trout Quintet and Quartet for the End of Time Small in scale but exceptionally musically and emotionally ambitious is the Australian Chamber Orchestra's concert combining Schubert's Trout Quintet and Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, with brilliant young Palestinian-Israeli pianist Saleem Abboud Ashkar and clarinettist Paul Dean.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is here. Before there was Romeo and Juliet, this was the production that showed the world the boundless imaginations of director Baz Luhrmann and designer Catherine Martin. Inspired by the words of Shakespeare and Britten's magical score, they dreamt up a colour-drenched realm of midsummer magic, and in doing so, created one of Opera Australia's most celebrated productions, ever.

Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado 'Portrait of Spain: Masterpieces from the Prado' will be a magnificent survey of the development of painting in Spain over the course of three centuries, and the first ever collection of work from Madrid's esteemed the Museo Nacional del Prado to visit Australia.
    12. QPAC International Series: Hamburg In 2012, QPAC's International Series takes on a new dimension showcasing the creative legacy of Germany's historic port city of Hamburg. Making their Australian debut, and marking the first time in more than four decades that the three companies have toured together, the triumvirate of artistic excellence comprises of The Hamburg Ballet, the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hamburg State Opera.
